Young Israel of Commack

The Tree of Life Nursery School offers a stimulating, educational and creative environment for students aged 2 to 5.

Morning and afternoon twice-a-week playgroups are offered for 2-year-olds. For 3- and 4-year-olds, morning and afternoon programs are available, as well as a 5-hour mini-day. Two or three day-a-week programs are available.

The curriculum includes reading readiness, science, arts and crafts, music, physical activities, and social and personal development. A daily snack is included.

Funded by the New York State Department of Education and Suffolk County, this program serves children with special needs, including disabilities, speech and language difficulties and emotional problems.

The staff includes certified special education teachers, certified speech and language specialists, physical and occupational therapists, a social worker and a psychologist.
