U.S. Government Information
Executive Branch

The Executive branch of the Federal Government consists of the President of the United States, the Executice Office of the President, the 15 departments that make up the President's cabinet, and the hundreds of agencies, services, and councils used to support them. Within this branch is the oversight of the policy making for, and execution of, those functions regarded as vital to the country--foreign relations policies, economic affairs such as trade and commerce, educational policies and recommendations, issues involving national security, the country's defense as well as its engagement in war, and law enforcement to name a few.
