Finlay, you were born on July 15, 2004 in White Plains Hospital at 1:13 in the afternoon. Papa was there waiting to meet you. When you were born, you weighed 8 pounds and 3 ounces. You had no hair at all. That was a big surprise considering Caitlin's full head of hair!
On the night before you were born, Aunt Laurel had a dream that you were coming. So she called the hospital and found out that you were on your way. (And Mama is supposed to be the nosey one!) Papa spent the afternoon calling everyone to tell them that you were born. He sent pictures of you on the computer right away. Aunt Donna visited you on your birthday. The next day Grandpa came to visit. Your grandmothers came together to see you in the hospital. You cried the whole time they were there because you were hungry! Uncle Dan visited you that night, too. Aunt Bethany came from California to meet you when you were just two weeks old. She couldn't wait to see you at your baptism because she was afraid you would have grown up already.
You took your first trip to California to visit Bethany and Mark for Halloween. You were dressed up as a lion. We went with Laurel, Cormac, and Caitlin. Papa stayed in New York and went to work. You had a great time in the pool and even put your feet in the cold Pacific Ocean!
Finlay you are part of a huge family! You have eight aunts, eight uncles, and eight cousins, Michaela, Cara, Kevin, Liam, Kathleen, Sean, Cormac, and Caitlin. Finlay, you must know how much your family loves you. Mama and Papa, your grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins are so excited to know you. It will be a joy to watch you learn and grow.
