Here is a
link to a website which will graph objects in cylindrical coordinates. This should open in a new window or tab, depending on your current browser's
defaults. Toggle between the windows and do the following exercises:
Examples with cones
Set t min to 0, t max to 1 (be sure to hit GRAPH after changing)
Set s min to 0, s max to pi
Set t min to -1, t max to 0 and s min to 0, s max to pi
Example with cylinders
Replace t in the parameter box for r with a constant of 1 rather than parameter t
Set s min to 0, s max to 2*pi
Other possibilities: Find the GALLERY button and spend some time exploring.(Be sure to
notice the arrows which let you rotate images.)
