/Tabitha and her husband were overwhelmed by the destruction wrought by Katrina. Their house and grounds were covered with debris. The task of seeing to her 4 children ranging in age from 3 to 12 while simultaneously working to rebuild their house seemed overwhelming to her and her husband.
In addition to strenghthening the supporting beams, electrical work and drywall, team members also spent time helping Tabitha to get her household organized, sorting the clothes and toys strewn about the house into plastic boxes and helping her with the laundry.
