This book object is one in a series made for a site-specific exhibition at Le Chafaud Musée in Percé, Québec. They each examine counting systems and consider ‘that which cannot be quantified’.

The box contains 10 boxes of varying lengths that are visual indicators of numbers, similar to the Cuisenaire Rods that were used to teach me New Math in the ‘60’s. Each ‘rod’ is covered in images that relate to the specific number it indicates, taken from collected images in numerology, astrology, physics and number science, culture myth and common knowledge.
