General Information

CDC A to Z Index
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) A to Z index is an alphabetical listing of diseases, for the majority, but it also includes other healthcare resources. This particular database cannot be searched on its own, but the entire CDC site can be searched. That search will include the A to Z index. Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report data is also available.

Merck Manual of Diagnosis and Therapy
The Merck Manual of Diagnosis and Therapy contains clinical information on diseases. While the primary audience for this source is physicians, nurses, and pharmacists, it is also a great tool that anyone can use to find information on diseases. It can be searched by free text terms, or by selecting a particular therapeutic category, e.g. Cardiovascular disorders, then selecting a more specific topic, such as heart failure.
